Well... I'm putting together a new soul band in Liverpool, even though I'll be in Bath I know some amazing musicians up there that I want to work with. It will be massive so keep a look out on the Liverpool scene! All original material written by yours truly!..so...Watch this space!
On ce moment, I'm trying to book myself onto as many national festivals as possible! I reckon having goals to work towards is the best idea this year. I've got to gig as much as possible, every week if possible! Anyone know any good venues in Bath?
Well a lot has happened since I last wrote a blog on here...
First of all I graduated from LIPA with a First Class Honours Degree in Music. I'd worked so hard for three years and felt very proud to receive my bachelors.
Then the day after my graduation I found out about the Masters in Songwriting course at Bath-Spa college uni and applied as soon as I could. A few weeks ago I was accepted onto the course! Now I'm going to Bath in a week!!
Also, I've matured my songwriting style and defined my style! I'm now pursuing a more Soul/Jazz route. I'm still going to write R&B Pop music, which I am doing with various producers; J Raymond, Shawn Kang and Soul Doubt, but when I perform it will be a more John Legend, Alicia Keys, India Arie ispired set.
I've updated my MySpace page as well! It's lovely and pink just like my personality! And there's new pictures and songs...go and have a listen and leave a comment ;) www.myspace.com/hannahrockcliffe
I shall be keeping this site updated as much as possible over the next few months so keep checking in...

Entering songwriting competitions is costly however, the rewards could be phenominal! I just spent $50 to enter a few songs into various competitions...ah well...I suppose that will be my life for a while...maybe I'll be noticed. That would be exactly the point, well the exact point would be to win wouldn't it?
One of my songs is currently being sold on iTunes! How great is that! Over You which you can listen to on here can be bought for the minimal price of the equivalent of like 50p so go and buy it!
On a different note, I've been listening to some amazing singers this week: Frank McComb, Liz Wright and also a brilliant album produced by Israel Houghton called Real. It's so important to have music like that around you when you're writing. It's so influential, well at least I hope that they influence me! maybe you'll see a bit of more of me!
I'm entering all the songwriting competitions this year so hopefully I'll win some more!
Dear All,
This is my first post! I'll start by saying since I have just finished university this is the beginning of a new era in my life and I now have plenty of time to build my music career! Well mostly since all my friends have left Liverpool now and I'm pretty much on my own, but that's ok...
Summer is upon us and now is the time to start new things like finding a job! There must be somewhere willing to pay me to sing, I only studied it for twelve years! I'll start there and since I've just finished a demo I should probably start sending them out to people...if anyone hears my music and thinks they know someone who'd be interested let me know! Anyway...there will be plenty of entries to come! You'll probably get an insight into my songwriting!
